פרופ'  רנדה ח'יר-עבאס

פרופ'  רנדה ח'יר-עבאס, ראש המכללה האקדמית הערבית לחינוך חיפה והרקטור.  סיימה  את לימודי התואר השלישי באוניברסיטת בר אילן והייתה לדרוזית הראשונה שקבלה את התואר מאוניברסיטת בר-אילן. במרץ 2020 קבלה דרגת פרופסור חבר מטעם מל"ג והייתה לראשונה מבנות החברה הדרוזית שקבלה דרגה זו. פרופ' ח'יר-עבאס הנה מרצה אורחת ועמיתת מחקר במספר מוסדות  אקדמיים בארה"ב, פרסומיה המדעיים מתפרסמים בכתבי-עת אקדמיים בארץ ובעולם, והשתתפה כמרצה בכנסים מדעיים מקומיים ובינלאומיים. תחומי התמחותה ומחקריה מתמקדים בחינוך לאזרחות ולעיצוב הזהות בחברה רב-תרבותית,  מנהיגות חינוכית, תרבות חינוכית, חברה רב תרבותית, פערים בין דוריים בקרב בני מיעוט,  השכלה גבוהה ומעמד האישה. . randaab@arabcol.ac.il

Prof. Randa Khair Abbas is Academic Head & Rector of the Arab Academic College for Education – Haifa, ISRAEL. She was the first Druze Israeli woman to gain a PhD from Bar-Ilan University and the the first Druze Israeli women to have the admission to the degree of Professor from the Council for Higher Education in Israel.  She is a researcher and one of her area of research has included Multi-Cultural Education, Educational leadership, Generational gaps in traditional societies, Perception of female leadership in relation to society and culture, Perception of identity and language in relation to the culture. She works in women's rights and the advancement of Arab women in the professional landscape. randaab@arabcol.ac.il
